2016 was another enjoyable year of shooting British GT. I’m pretty sure it was my tenth year, but I only have ten fingers, so I may have lost count! Here’s a selection of my favourite shots from this year, in no particular order.
When shooting the drivers, I always try to capture whats going on in their heads. Often it isn’t very much (drivers being drivers), but if there is something going on, the best way to capture it is through the eyes.
If these shots were in order, then I’d probably put this one at number one. I love the way it shows everybody hard at work. Well, almost everyone!
It’s always important for me to try to get a new angle whenever I visit a circuit and there are quite a few waiting for you at Oulton Park. Next year I plan to get a shot of the cars with the Lodge in the background. Shhh, don’t tell anyone!
I could say that I was trying to be original by getting this first lap shot from a corner other than Old Hall, but to be honest, that corner scares the daylights out of me. So I walked a mile or so from turn one where I can feel safe and caught the field as they came through the Shell Oils Hairpin.
