Perel’s Surreal Silverstone Debut

David Perel’s Am class pole position in the Blancpain Endurance Cup at Silverstone  marks a debut Silverstone success that can be attributed to both natural talent and to PlayStation!

The South African, here driving the #111 Kessel Racing Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, admits to his “playing PlayStation my whole life and this track over and over again,” contributing to a maiden pole and the resultant broad smile. ‘Practice makes perfect as the saying goes’ and it would appear that its sources can be diverse, as Darren Cox’s PlayStation Academy has proven.

The three hour endurance race will commence at 15:00 GMT today, with Mirko Bortolotti’s Grasser Lamborghini Huracan on pole position.
