Peter Mann, Filipe Barreiros and Francisco Guedes are well and truly in the hunt for the Gentleman Trophy (GTR) title of the Blancpain Endurance Series 2014.

Following a strong third placed finish in the opening round at Monza, the three drivers went one better in their #51 AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia, bringing it home second in Round 2 at Silverstone last weekend.

With these results Guedes, Mann, and Barreiros are currently ranked second in the overall GTR championship having 33 points in the bank ahead of the half-way stage race to be held next month in the sun of the South of France.

Fellow Gentlemen Howard Blank, Yannick Mallegol and Jean-Marc Bachelier in the sister #49 car are keeping the competition honest; fighting hard for the top positions of the GTR Trophy they sit third in the championship, with 24 points and only 1 point away from third overall. The skilled trio were fourth at the chequered flag at Silverstone, a repeat of the fourth placed finish in Round 1.

AF Corse have a third Ferrari 458 Italia entered in the finest European GT Championship, this time in the highly competitive Pro-Am category. The drivers of the #50 car Andrea Sonvico, Andrew Danyliw, and Simon Knap brought it home in twelfth at Silverstone. The result well is below their high potential and it does not add points on their road to title, the three drivers sit sixth in the current championship standings with the 15 points acquired after finishing fourth at Monza.

The next round of the Blancpain Endurance Series will be held at HTTT Paul Ricard, Le Castellet, France on June 29th 2014.
