The team will be looking to build on a highly successful debut year of racing that saw it achieve fourteen podiums out of twenty one races, with a strong pairing that combines Bobbi’s wealth of international sportscar experience, with Palmer’s increased understanding of the 458 GT3 and solid knowledge of UK circuits.

Palmer, by day a businessman working in the financial technology sector, raced with the top Italian squad last season in the Blancpain Endurance Series at Paul Ricard, has committed to an extensive winter testing programme, that has seen him lap Vallelunga (ITA), Motorland Aragon (ESP), Estoril (POR), Jerez (ESP) and earlier this week, Oulton Park (UK).

Team Principal, Bobbi will make his debut in British GT when the series kicks off over the Easter Weekend at Oulton Park in Cheshire.

The pair have already visited the podium together this season, only last month they competed in the GT Open Paul Ricard Winter Series event, taking a third-place finish in the second race. Future races in other series are planned throughout the season, but British GT will be the Ferrari duo’s primary focus.IMG_4229

Quotes
Jay Palmer, Driver:
“I think we will definitely be protagonists in the championship, I don’t see any reason not to be. We don’t underestimate the competition will be tough, it’s a tough championship, but it always has been, as nobody is here to make up the numbers; that’s the draw. We’ve seen over the past two season that it isn’t about winning every race, its about being consistent and getting the points on the board; keeping out of trouble is a must. The team have a strong pedigree and they’ve been very successful with the Ferrari in a short space of time. The car itself is a very well balanced, confidence-inspiring machine, and my team-mate is pretty handy so I’m very happy to be driving with him. I’m really just looking forward to getting going and racing in the best national GT championship in the world.”

Matteo Bobbi, Vita4One Team Italy Principal and Driver:
“I’m very motivated to be in the British GT Championship as a driver and as a team principal. We are really looking forward to the racing, it will be a very competitive championship and it will be a big challenge for us to compete against the best drivers and teams from the UK.”
