Richard Abra – Oulton Park Preview

Richard Abra – Oulton Park Preview

So round one of the British GT championship is this weekend. I think it’s safe to say I’m nervous, but I guess that’s to be expected. We’ve picked the busiest year to join the championship and I think Oulton Park is at full capacity with 29 GT3 cars and 30 + in total, which will make trying to get a clear lap very difficult for Qualifying.

We have had a great pre-season, doing lots of testing and really getting to know the car, but there’s still a lot to learn. Looking forward, we really want to have a solid weekend, just getting through it with no problems or mistakes and then building on our results as we go through the season, BUT we all know what happens when the red mist descends so let’s see what happens.

It’s difficult to predict a favourite as there are so many good pairings out there including a late comer Nick Tandy and David Ashburn who will be very fast! One things for sure, T1 in the Pro race will be very interesting…

See you there.
